In winter there are many lights
Some colorful and some plain white,
Some much too dull, and some too bright
But they all guarantee…
That with these glasses on my head
then lights of gold, and blue, and red,
become a sea of hearts instead
As brilliant as can be!
But…
What if we worked with all our hands,
And tried with all our might,
To make the world more brilliant
With a different 3D light?
The world is dark and full of pain
Sad little girls and boys the same,
Confused by things that once were plain
Not sure of who they’ll be,
Here’s what I think that we can do
To help each other, me and you!
To learn to love each other true,
I’ll see you in 3-D!
You’re not an accidentally boy
Or an accidentally girl,
You’re a future kind of person
So important to the world,
Many girls are very gentle
Many boys fast on their feet,
But some girls are very strong
And some boys are very sweet,
The personality you have
And the different things you like,
Doesn’t change that you’re a boy or girl
You’re perfectly alright,
The Creator made your body,
Every inch was made with care,
Not a single piece of who you are
Is accidentally there.
All the parts of your body
Oh please don’t change a thing!
You are bringing something to the world
That only you can bring!
When you realize that only you
Can be the you, you are,
When you realize each person
Is a kind of superstar,
Then you’ll finally see the world
In the 3D that we should,
Every boy and every girl
Is a special kind of could,
You could someday be a mother
Or could someday be a dad,
And then one day be a Nana
Or a grandpa someone had,
We’re connected to each other
The future needs each boy and girl,
Every heartbeat is a person
So important to the world,
So just look into the mirror
And with confidence you’ll see,
You’re a 3D kind of person
Just as perfect as can be!
